Building Early Education Fund - Malangenna Children's Centre Grant Opportunity

The purpose of the grant opportunity is to support the delivery of the Malangenna Children’s Centre election commitment through the Building Fund.    On 28 April 2025, the Hon Anne Urquhart MP announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will invest up to $4 million to support the construction of a new building at the Malangenna Children’s Centre, which is operated by Devonport Child Care Centres Inc, in Devonport, Tasmania. Reconnection, Employment and Learning (REAL) Program Phase 2

The Australian Government is inviting organisations via an open process to apply to deliver services under Program 1.1 Employment Services from 2026 to 2030. In the 2024–25 Budget, the Australian Government committed $76.2 million over 5 years to improve the economic security of First Nations people transitioning out of the justice system and reestablishing themselves in the community. The REAL Program builds on the Time to Work Employment Service and aims to improve outcomes for First Nations people exiting the justice system by providing support to reestablish themselves in the community. The Program offers pre-release, and post-release supports to help people to reintegrate into their communities and engage with employment, education and training. In addition, the Program will facilitate connection to culture, Country and language, where appropriate. The Program responds to extensive consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, communities and evidence on how to improve support in the transition from the justice system to employment. Phase 1 of the Program commenced earlier this year in a cross section of facilities.

Hospital to Home Program

This grant opportunity was announced as part of the 2025-26 Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO). The purpose of this grant opportunity is to extend and build on the success of the previous funding (GO5718) for the Hospital and Home Program (Program). The Program provides ongoing, targeted support to women and families impacted by stillbirth, neonatal death or sudden unexpected death of an infant. Illicit Tobacco Fee for Service Program

The Illicit Tobacco Fee for Service Program (the program) will run until 30 June 2027. In the 2024-25 Budget, the 'Tobacco - Illicit tobacco compliance' measure provided funding of $188.5 million over 4 years from 2023-24 for the Australian Border Force (ABF) to implement an end-to-end compliance and enforcement model for illicit tobacco. This funding includes $20.4 million to establish the Illicit Tobacco Fee for Service Program to partner with state and territories to counter illicit tobacco. The ABF is delivering a proportion of the funding to the states and ACT through a separate funding opportunity and Memorandum of Understanding.  This grant opportunity has up to $5 million available to partner with the Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF) to counter illicit tobacco.  The objectives of the program are to: supplement existing resources, processes and equipment/s for the fight against illicit tobacco sales and distribution assist territories in combating the sale and distribution of illicit tobacco in Australia prevent escalation of criminal activity related to the trade. The intended outcome of the grant opportunity is to support uplift in capacity and capability of territory law enforcement agencies to support the Commonwealth efforts in disrupting illicit tobacco.

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Storage Funding Program

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to support patients from two population groups who face extra costs associated with fertility preservation: people who require fertility treatment, including fertility preservation, due to a cancer diagnosis, and people at risk of passing on genetic conditions who have undergone pre-implantation genetic testing funded by the Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS), as described in MBS items 13207, 73384, 73385, 73386 or 73387.  Costs associated with the cryostorage of eggs, sperm or embryos are not currently subsidised through the Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS) and these patient groups often face extra costs associated with fertility preservation. The intended outcome of the program is to reduce eligible patient’s costs for preserving eggs, sperm, or embryos through cryostorage (freezing). Under the program, patients will be eligible for up to ten years of cryostorage funding per eligible material stored.
