The purpose of the grant opportunity is to support the delivery of the Malangenna Children’s Centre election commitment through the Building Fund.    On 28 April 2025, the Hon Anne Urquhart MP announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will invest up to $4 million to support the construction of a new building at the Malangenna Children’s Centre, which is operated by Devonport Child Care Centres Inc, in Devonport, Tasmania. The expansion of the service is expected to more than double the number of places available and provide early learning and care for around 170 children.

Reconnection, Employment and Learning (REAL) Program Phase 2

The Australian Government is inviting organisations via an open process to apply to deliver services under Program 1.1 Employment Services from 2026 to 2030. In the 2024–25 Budget, the Australian Government committed $76.2 million over 5 years to improve the economic security of First Nations people transitioning out of the justice system and reestablishing themselves in the community. The REAL Program builds on the Time to Work Employment Service and aims to improve outcomes for First Nations people exiting the justice system by providing support to reestablish themselves in the community. The Program offers pre-release, and post-release supports to help people to reintegrate into their communities and engage with employment, education and training. In addition, the Program will facilitate connection to culture, Country and language, where appropriate. The Program responds to extensive consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, communities and evidence on how to improve support in the transition from the justice system to employment. Phase 1 of the Program commenced earlier this year in a cross section of facilities.

Advancing Australia's National Interests in Antarctica

The purpose of the Advancing Australia’s National Interests in Antarctica grant opportunity is to support the Australian Centre for Excellence in Antarctic Science (ACEAS) for two years to finalise and deliver data sets and publication outputs from field operations previously funded under the ARC Special Research Initiative in Excellence in Antarctic Science.   The objectives of the grant are to: advance Australia’s national interests in Antarctica through delivery of priority science secure Antarctic science capability and the next generation of researchers strengthen collaboration across the Australian Antarctic science community and with DCCEEW enhance Australia’s leadership and excellence in Antarctic science. The intended outcomes of the grant are: advancement of Australia’s national interests in Antarctica through delivery of the Australian Antarctic Science Decadal Strategy employment of, and funding certainty for, experts, students and early career researchers to strengthen Antarctic science capability in Australia demonstrated leadership of Australia in Antarctic science by continuing collaboration through ACEAS across participating universities published peer-reviewed manuscripts, lodgement of datasets with the Australian Antarctic Data Centre, and communication of key outcomes, particularly from the Denman Glacier terrestrial and marine campaigns and science supported by the Australian Antarctic Program.

Homelessness Sector Development Round Project Grant

The Homelessness Sector Development Round Project Grant will provide funding to nationally focussed organisations with an interest in homelessness to create research, data and evaluation activities and bring forward new ideas that directly improve the standard of responses provided to those most in need of housing assistance. The grant opportunity aims to strengthen the homelessness sector by funding expert, evidence-based research and advice that supports government decision making. It invests in building the sector’s capability to conduct research, coordinate efforts, and engage effectively so it can recommend ways to improve housing and homelessness outcomes for vulnerable communities. Through funded projects, organisations will help advance key housing and homelessness priorities by delivering research, policy development, and innovative approaches, such as improved use of data, to reduce homelessness and enhance early intervention. The Australian Government has announced a total of up to $6 million (GST exclusive) over 3 years from 2025–26 to 2027–28 for the Homelessness Sector Development Round. Hospital to Home Program

This grant opportunity was announced as part of the 2025-26 Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO). The purpose of this grant opportunity is to extend and build on the success of the previous funding (GO5718) for the Hospital and Home Program (Program). The Program provides ongoing, targeted support to women and families impacted by stillbirth, neonatal death or sudden unexpected death of an infant. Dedicated peer support workers support families within three months of their loss and provide six sessions over six months.  The objectives of the grant opportunity are to: • provide early and targeted culturally responsive support to assist in the transfer of bereaved families between hospitals and support services • increase the number of referrals received into the Program from maternity hospitals, hospices, funeral directors or via self-referral • increase the provision of support services for First Nations and multicultural families through the implementation of culturally safe bereavement practices • increase the delivery of culturally responsive support services to rural and remote families, through the training and coordination of bereavement outreach support workers and increased use of telehealth.  The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to: • reduce isolation felt by women and families following the loss of an infant and acknowledge the impact of grief • reduce the likelihood of complications with grief that can lead to poor mental and physical health outcomes  • support bereaved parents in their transition to day-to-day life following the loss of an infant, by supporting them to integrate back into their communities and return to regular activities such as work • increase the understanding of family, friends and community regarding the needs of bereaved families.  To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "Grant Opportunity Documents" button on the left-hand side.

NATSIFAC Program - Relocation and settlement of residential care clients into newly completed NATSIFACP facilities

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide funding to assist with the relocation, orientation and settlement of residents into newly built NATSIFACP aged care homes in a culturally safe manner and consistent with requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards (the standards). The objectives of the grant opportunity are to support eligible applicants with: coordinated relocation logistics such as the development and implementation of plans, procedures and protocols (including critical Chain of Custody for Schedule 8 medications) to ensure a seamless relocation of the service and existing aged care residents in a manner that meets the requirements outlined in Aged Care Act 2024 (the Act), the Aged Care Rules 2025 (the Rules), the Standards (including Outcome 7.2: Transitions), and other Australian and/or State or Territory legislation. temporary engagement of specialists and additional qualified staff, including additional Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health workers to ensure and support culturally safe, trauma-aware and healing-informed care and processes throughout the transition, and short-term hire of manual labour, additional vehicles and/or necessary equipment for departing and/or receival facilities to meet care requirements under relevant legislation (including occupational health and safety regulations) and to mitigate associated risks for all persons involved. The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to: ensure aged care residents experience a safe and well-coordinated transition to the new home and are settled in a manner that prioritises the physical, emotional and cultural care needs of the individual and meets the requirements outlined in applicable legislation, and support a seamless transition of the NATSIFACP service from their old building to the newly constructed aged care home. Illicit Tobacco Fee for Service Program

The Illicit Tobacco Fee for Service Program (the program) will run until 30 June 2027. In the 2024-25 Budget, the 'Tobacco - Illicit tobacco compliance' measure provided funding of $188.5 million over 4 years from 2023-24 for the Australian Border Force (ABF) to implement an end-to-end compliance and enforcement model for illicit tobacco. This funding includes $20.4 million to establish the Illicit Tobacco Fee for Service Program to partner with state and territories to counter illicit tobacco. The ABF is delivering a proportion of the funding to the states and ACT through a separate funding opportunity and Memorandum of Understanding.  This grant opportunity has up to $5 million available to partner with the Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF) to counter illicit tobacco.  The objectives of the program are to: supplement existing resources, processes and equipment/s for the fight against illicit tobacco sales and distribution assist territories in combating the sale and distribution of illicit tobacco in Australia prevent escalation of criminal activity related to the trade. The intended outcome of the grant opportunity is to support uplift in capacity and capability of territory law enforcement agencies to support the Commonwealth efforts in disrupting illicit tobacco.

Provision of catering, accommodation, reception and booking system services - Pinkenba

The Centre for National Resilience Brisbane (CNRB) located at Damascus Barracks in Pinkenba, was constructed and completed by the Department of Finance (Finance) in 2022. The site contains two accommodation blocks (initially circa 300 bed capacity), a Security Hub, Health Centre, Central Communications, Logistics Warehouse and commercial Kitchen Facilities. The management and use of the CNRB facility at Pinkenba has been provided by the Government to the AFP to support a multinational police training facility (Pinkenba Hub) with Pacific Command. This site will also lend itself as an opportunity to further support Learning and Development Command (LDC) as well as other AFP business areas in future stages for accommodation and training at Pinkenba Training Centre, a second AFP site within Pinkenba. Situated approximately 6 kilometres from the Pinkenba Hub, the Pinkenba Training Centre (PTC) has been operating in its current form since July 2024 and is the central focal point for operational safety and practice, public order management, investigations and other operational and corporate training for the AFP. PTC contains a reception area, training and syndicate rooms and a warehouse with specialist facilities which provide a broad range of training capabilities for the AFP, primarily during business hours. The AFP requires a range of services to be delivered at the 2 sites in Pinkenba, including:    a.         catering services including catering, external catering, bar service and coffee services    b.         accommodation and housekeeping services for circa 160 rooms    c.         reception and booking system services

Dear Australian industry and academia The Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) continues to transform the way breakthrough military solutions are delivered, by rapidly translating innovative technologies into capabilities that will help take Defence further, faster. As part of this effort, ASCA’s Pitch Days seek to provide industry and academia the opportunity to pitch their innovative technologies to senior Defence officials and members of the broader defence ecosystem. On behalf of ASCA, I would like to inform you of our first pitch day for 2026, with the theme: Resilient Command and Control (C2).  We have released a Request for Information (RFI) seeking responses on innovative technologies that could solve any of the following Challenge Statements: • Challenge Statement 1 – Operating in Denied, Degraded, Intermittent and Limited (DDIL) environments • Challenge Statement 2 – Protecting and ensuring resilient C2 capabilities • Challenge Statement 3 – Recovery of degraded C2 networks. These Challenge Statements reflect Defence’s strategic priorities, and respondents to this RFI who submit the most promising solutions will be invited to present at the Pitch Day event to be held at the Australian Defence Science, Technology and Research Summit 2026 (ADSTAR 2026) in Adelaide, 4–6 August 2026. Subject to the Conditions of RFI, ASCA will fund the travel and accommodation for successful respondents to present at the Pitch Day event. Details on how to participate are included in the Conditions of RFI. Subject to the conditions of the RFI, ASCA will be accepting submissions from 10 March to 14 April, with notification of outcomes advised by 3 July 2026.
