The SEAMRPS Grant Program will facilitate trade in professional services between Australia and Southeast Asia by supporting Australian professional service accreditation, licensing and registration bodies to negotiate mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) with their Southeast Asian counterparts. MRAs make it easier for professionals to practice overseas by recognising equivalent qualifications and licensing standards between jurisdictions.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Eligible Applicants
    Only Australian professional service accreditation, licensing, and registration bodies are eligible to apply for a grant.
  • Australian Citizenship
    Applicants must be Australian citizens.
  • ABN and GST Registration
    Applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST.
  • Financial Institution Account
    Applicants must have an account with an Australian financial institution.
  • No Other Government Funding
    Applicants cannot receive funding from another government source for the same purpose.
Deliverables
  • Completion of grant activities by 30 December 2026
  • Submission of a business case and budget
  • Project management plan with milestones
  • Evidence of support from the organisation's board or CEO
  • Accountant declaration confirming funding capability
