Homelessness Sector Development Round Project Grant
Overview
The Homelessness Sector Development Round Project Grant will provide funding to nationally focussed organisations with an interest in homelessness to create research, data and evaluation activities and bring forward new ideas that directly improve the standard of responses provided to those most in need of housing assistance. The grant opportunity aims to strengthen the homelessness sector by funding expert, evidence-based research and advice that supports government decision making. It invests in building the sector’s capability to conduct research, coordinate efforts, and engage effectively so it can recommend ways to improve housing and homelessness outcomes for vulnerable communities. Through funded projects, organisations will help advance key housing and homelessness priorities by delivering research, policy development, and innovative approaches, such as improved use of data, to reduce homelessness and enhance early intervention. The Australian Government has announced a total of up to $6 million (GST exclusive) over 3 years from 2025–26 to 2027–28 for the Homelessness Sector Development Round. For this grant opportunity, a total of up to $400,000.00 (GST exclusive) is available per annum over 3 financial years from 2025–26 to 2027–28, which will be shared between successful applicants. Only organisations invited to apply are eligible for this grant opportunity.
