Environmental Services
Gippsland Water requires a qualified service provider to deliver ecological consultancy and on-ground environmental management services across operational and project activities. Environmental services will be required across our service region, including offset sites (approx. 800 ha combined), high conservation value lands, catchments, easements, and public land associated with our assets; including remote locations when required. Key service categories include: 1. Ecological Consultancy Services - Development of management plans, revegetation and rehabilitation plans, ecological impact and risk assessments, targeted surveys and threatened species monitoring, technical advice, sustainable land management planning. 2. Environmental Management Services - Implementation of management plans, pest animal and plant control, sourcing and facilitation of plantings, maintenance of infrastructure, tracks and firebreaks, identification and reporting of threats, habitat restoration. 3. Environmental Information Management - Use of ArcGIS Online for spatial data collection, storage, and analysis, including capturing and uploading pest plant and animal control, and threatened species data. 4. Biodiversity Offset Credit Brokering - Selling of credits held by Gippsland Water through DEECA’s Native Vegetation Offset Register.

Service Requirement – Pest Control Services FRV operates a large network of metropolitan and regional fire stations and associated buildings, grounds and external environments that require ongoing pest management to maintain health, safety, hygiene and operational readiness. The purpose of the Pest Control Services is to ensure that FRV facilities remain safe for personnel and visitors, compliant with health and environmental regulations, and protected from pest-related risks that may impact operations, asset condition or workplace wellbeing. Scope of Services The successful supplier will be required to deliver pest control services across FRV’s metropolitan and regional facilities, including: • Planned and preventative pest management programs • Reactive and emergency response services (24/7 availability • Site-specific pest risk assessments and treatment plans • Specialist pest treatments as required • Compliance documentation, reporting and service records • Advice on pest risk mitigation and environmental controls Services must be delivered in accordance with all applicable legislation, industry standards and FRV requirements, including occupational health and safety, environmental protection and chemical handling obligations. Introduction The opportunity The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is the Victorian Government’s lead agency for supporting thriving, productive and sustainable communities, environments and industries. The role of DEECA is to work together to create a liveable, inclusive and sustainable Victoria with thriving natural environments - where the community is at the centre of everything we do. The Department is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) reference T2026-0108 for the provision of calf rearing services for the Ellinbank SmartFarm. Structure of RFT • Introduction – contains an overview of the opportunity presented in, and the objectives of, this RFT. • Part A – Conditions of Tendering sets out the rules applying to the RFT documents and to the Tendering Process. Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System Program
The Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System (Incentives System) aims to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy, ensuring Australians receive quality training while in paid employment. It will also contribute to simplifying and streamlining support for Australian Apprentices. The Incentives System contains a range of employer incentives and personal benefit payments to Australian Apprentices. The Incentives System will be delivered by Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) providers. Claims and payments associated with the program will be supported by the new Apprenticeship Data Management System (ADMS).
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Seventh Assessment Cycle Experts
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Seventh Assessment Cycle Experts Grant Opportunity (the program) will run over 7 years from 2023-24 to 2029-30. The program will provide funding to research institutions, State and Territory government departments and individuals to support experts’ participation in Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Seventh Assessment Cycle processes. The program was announced as part of the Australian Government’s commitment to shape the global response to climate change and achieve Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. Australia’s International Climate Step-up aims to restore Australia's reputation and increase international engagement on climate change and energy transformation issues. The objectives of the program are to: support the delivery of the work of the IPCC, including the development of its assessment reports and associated reports, in a manner that informs the development of Australia’s climate change policy and implementation of its international climate change treaty obligations engage Australian experts in climate science, adaptation, mitigation and greenhouse gas inventory methodologies, to share Australia’s climate change expertise and experience with the international community through participation in IPCC meetings and collaboration in the preparation of IPCC reports and associated publications.
DRIVEN Charger Rebate Stream
Through the DRIVEN Program, the Australian Government will provide $60 million to fund the purchase and installation of EV charging units at automotive dealerships and EV repairers across Australia. The program will run over 4 years from 2024-25 to 2027-28. The program was announced as part of the Driving the Nation Fund. The objectives of the program are to: support automotive businesses selling passenger and light commercial vehicles and their role in decarbonising the automotive sector through: selling and repairing a higher proportion of EVs in response to the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard Act 2024 (Cth) increasing the scale and visibility of EV charging units throughout Australia enhancing staff and customer awareness and knowledge of EVs and charging technologies, to support uptake of EVs across Australia. support the automotive sector by: distributing appropriate funding to as many eligible businesses as possible supporting the timely deployment of charging solutions to meet the immediate needs of the sector. The intended outcomes of the program are: a supported Australian automotive sector as it transitions to selling and repairing more EVs increased uptake of EVs by providing more EV charging stations Australia wide reduced transport emissions to support achievement of Australia’s economy-wide net zero emissions target by 2050. The DRIVEN Charger Rebate Stream 2025 to 2028 will provide up to $40 million for EV charging units to dealerships and EV repairers. The intended outcomes of the DRIVEN Charger Rebate Stream are: increased number of EVs on the roads reduced upfront cost of installing EV charging units at dealerships and EV repairers distributed funding to as many eligible automotive businesses as possible across Australia. CEWH Environmental Activities
Under the Water Act 2007 (Cth) the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH) can sell annual water allocations (temporary water). The proceeds of these sales can be used to fund environmental activities, which must be consistent with the CEWH Environmental Activities Framework (CEAF). This grant opportunity enables the CEWH to provide funding for environmental activities that help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of environmental water delivery in the Murray-Darling Basin. There are a range of projects that could be considered environmental activities, such as: infrastructure upgrades that improve the efficiency of environmental water delivery projects that help restore and protect native flora and fauna populations and habitat research that improves scientific and cultural knowledge to help inform the delivery of environmental water projects that incorporate Traditional Owners knowledge into environmental watering planning, that will produce both environmental and cultural outcomes. The CEWH encourages projects: that contribute to the achievement of the ecological outcomes sought under the Basin Plan, including the protection and restoration of populations of threatened and migratory species and internationally significant wetlands. that have strong linkages to First Nations communities and have environmental and cultural value, and lead to greater participation of First Nations in the management of the Commonwealth environmental water holdings and ensure Traditional Owner knowledge of land and water management can be realised. in areas where projects have not been implemented to date is encouraged. First Nations Clean Energy Advice Grants Round 1
The First Nations Clean Energy Advice Grants Round 1 was announced as part of the implementation of the Government’s First Nations Clean Energy Strategy. The objectives of the program are to support First Nations communities to participate in clean energy development and: build clean energy project skills and knowledge access technical and professional support make informed decisions as per principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC). The intended outcomes of the program are for First Nations communities to gain increased: access to technical and professional support confidence in engagement with clean energy developers and clean energy development opportunities collaboration and engagement with the clean energy industry clean energy project skills and knowledge participation in clean energy projects benefits from participation in clean energy development. Round 1 of the program will run from 2025-26 to 2026-27.
Grants to the United Nations and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations
The purpose of the grant is to provide funding to the United Nations and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations to support peacebuilding and peacekeeping activities outside Australia. The objective of the grant is to provide funding to be used by the UN and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations to support: • education, training and capacity building activities for civil or military personnel on peace related activities; • the provision of equipment or services to support foreign countries’ participation in peace operations; • research and policy development on peace related issues; • the engagement of civil or military personnel in peace operations and institutions; and • improvement of infrastructure used in peace operations.
Local Environmental Projects
The Local Environmental Projects program will run from 2025–26 to 2027–28 as part of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water's Outcome 2, supporting nature-positive conservation and sustainable management of Australia’s natural resources. Announced during the 2025 federal election, the program funds locally informed, place-based projects that protect and restore threatened species and habitats, enhance coasts and waterways, and improve community access to nature, especially in urban green and blue spaces. Projects must show long-term environmental and social benefits through sustainable management and local engagement, aligning with national goals under the EPBC Act and Australia’s Strategy for Nature 2024–2030. The program also supports Australia’s international commitments under the Convention on Biological Diversity. Participation by First Nations groups is encouraged, including sharing ecological knowledge. Projects promoting women’s workforce participation are also supported.
Future Made in Australia Innovation Fund
The Future Made in Australia (FMA) Innovation Fund (the Program) administered by ARENA will provide up to $1.5 billion in grant funding to support pre-commercial innovation, demonstration and deployment of renewable energy and low emission technologies (Technologies), to support Australia’s transition to a net zero economy. FMA is an ongoing program which will remain open until funding is exhausted or ARENA closes the Program. Successful projects are expected to achieve one or more of the following Program Outcomes: increase uptake of the Technologies through innovation and commercialisation activities. improve Australia’s capability and capacity to produce or manufacture the Technologies. support and/or contribute to stronger supply chains to enable increased use of the Technologies. improve knowledge, skills and/or workforce participation associated with the Technologies. ARENA undertook targeted consultation through March and April 2025 with market participants, key consultancies and industry bodies and associations, to understand and identify industries and areas most suited for funding within the priority areas. The FMA Innovation Fund launched in December 2025 and will be an ongoing, open program. Grant funding will be available across three Priorities (the Priorities): $750 million to Green Metals including iron, steel, alumina and aluminium. Initial tranche of $200 million to Renewable Energy Technology Manufacturing (RETM) to enable development of technologies seeking to alleviate critical supply chain challenges facing the clean energy transition. $250 million to Low Carbon Liquid Fuels (LCLF) including sustainable aviation fuels and renewable diesel. environmental monitoring program
The scope of the procurement includes the provision of sample collection, laboratory analysis, interpretation, and reporting services. Monitoring will be required to test the relevant environmental parameters of ambient air quality, water quality of wastewater discharge and groundwater, soil contamination, and stacked emissions depending on the specific regulatory or program objectives. Testing is required on a regular schedule throughout the year, with the ability for the Mint to seek ad-hoc testing services as required to support incident investigations.
Urban Stormwater Modelling Project
The Supplier will develop whole of urban footprint-scale stormwater runoff models for identified priority Great Barrier Reef (Reef) catchments and assess the risk of instream erosion from urban waterways in these catchments due to increases in flow velocities associated with stormwater runoff. The project will result in identified major urban centres in Reef catchments with sufficient data having access to a whole of urban footprint-scale stormwater runoff model and a qualitative assessment of instream erosion to assist with their planning and investment strategies to address stormwater pollution. The project seeks to address an identified modelling data gap as a key foundational activity under Phase 1 of the Customer’s Reefwise Urban Program.
