Taronga is looking for more than simply a supplier to provide coffee. We are looking for a collaborative relationship built on trust and shared goals, aiming for a true partnership rather than purely a transactional arrangement. We seek a partner who actively supports Taronga’s sustainability and conservation objectives, with their own organisational ethos that reflects and reinforces these priorities. Scope For both Taronga Zoo, Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Dubbo, we are seeking a supplier who can provide the following: Supply - coffee beans and packaging Equipment - loan requirement of machines, grinders, umbrellas Maintenance - responsive service of coffee equipment Training - Taronga barista staff Service - dedicated and responsive account manager Sustainability - alignment and reporting capabilities Collaboration - initiative to apply resources supporting Taronga's vison for securing a shared future for wildlife and people Sponsorship - optional Related files Taronga Sustainability Strategy 2021_2025.pdf (3867 KB) TCSA Annual Report 2024_2025.pdf (16844 KB) Additional details/instructions Taronga will host a supplier briefing day at it's Sydney location, which is optional to attend, on 16 March 2026 from 12:00 - 1:30pm. Attendance is limited to a maximum of two (2) representatives per tenderer. The agenda is to discuss general the general tender process, Taronga's sustainability goals, the optional sponsorship component and key dates. There will be a brief tour of the back-of-house function centre and restaurant which serve coffee and an opportunity for tenderers to take a self-guided tour of the public cafes and coffee related sections at the zoo. Please ensure you have comfortable walking shoes, water and sun protection. If you wish to attend, please send the name, email addresses and role of the attendees to procurement@zoo.nsw.gov.au by 13 March, 4:00pm, with “Coffee – supplier briefing confirmation” in the subject line. Details of presentation location will be communicated prior to the date via a return email. Parking is available at Taronga Zoo's multistorey car park on Bradley's Head Road.
