Overview

Gippsland Water requires a qualified service provider to deliver ecological consultancy and on-ground environmental management services across operational and project activities. Environmental services will be required across our service region, including offset sites (approx. 800 ha combined), high conservation value lands, catchments, easements, and public land associated with our assets; including remote locations when required. Key service categories include: 1. Ecological Consultancy Services - Development of management plans, revegetation and rehabilitation plans, ecological impact and risk assessments, targeted surveys and threatened species monitoring, technical advice, sustainable land management planning. 2. Environmental Management Services - Implementation of management plans, pest animal and plant control, sourcing and facilitation of plantings, maintenance of infrastructure, tracks and firebreaks, identification and reporting of threats, habitat restoration. 3. Environmental Information Management - Use of ArcGIS Online for spatial data collection, storage, and analysis, including capturing and uploading pest plant and animal control, and threatened species data. 4. Biodiversity Offset Credit Brokering - Selling of credits held by Gippsland Water through DEECA’s Native Vegetation Offset Register.

Eligibility Criteria
  • OHS Management System
    Must have an established safety management system aligned with ISO 45001 principles to comply with Victorian legislation, capable of providing SWMS/JSEA.
  • Environmental Management System
    Must have an Environmental Management System (or equivalent plan) aligned with ISO 14001 principles to comply with environmental standards, regulation and legislation.
  • GIS Capability
    Must demonstrate advanced capacity to use ArcGIS Online/Field Maps (or compatible platforms) and comply.
  • Insurance Requirements
    Must hold minimum $20 million Public Liability and Workers Compensation coverage. Evidence must be provided.
  • Insurance Requirements (Consulting Services Only)
    Must hold minimum $10 million Professional Indemnity. Evidence must be provided.
  • Conflict of Interest Declaration
    Must complete and submit a Conflict-of-Interest declaration.
  • Fair Jobs Code Pre Assessment Certificate
    Must provide a Fair Jobs Code Pre Assessment Certificate or have an application in progress.
Deliverables
  • Demonstration of compliance with mandatory requirements including OHS and Environmental Management Systems
  • Provision of evidence of GIS capabilities using ArcGIS or equivalent
  • Submission of Conflict of Interest declaration
  • Provision of insurance certificates meeting specified coverage
  • Responses addressing weighted evaluation criteria including capability, technical competence, GIS and environmental information management, service delivery approach, social procurement and traditional owner engagement, and overall suitability

  • Suppliers not providing confirmation of commitment to the Code may be excluded.
