Overview
Service Requirement – Pest Control Services FRV operates a large network of metropolitan and regional fire stations and associated buildings, grounds and external environments that require ongoing pest management to maintain health, safety, hygiene and operational readiness. The purpose of the Pest Control Services is to ensure that FRV facilities remain safe for personnel and visitors, compliant with health and environmental regulations, and protected from pest-related risks that may impact operations, asset condition or workplace wellbeing. Scope of Services The successful supplier will be required to deliver pest control services across FRV’s metropolitan and regional facilities, including: • Planned and preventative pest management programs • Reactive and emergency response services (24/7 availability • Site-specific pest risk assessments and treatment plans • Specialist pest treatments as required • Compliance documentation, reporting and service records • Advice on pest risk mitigation and environmental controls Services must be delivered in accordance with all applicable legislation, industry standards and FRV requirements, including occupational health and safety, environmental protection and chemical handling obligations. - Licensed Pest Control ProviderThe contractor must hold appropriate licenses to perform pest control services, including removal/catch and release of wildlife such as possums and snakes.
- Compliance with Safety and Environmental RegulationsAll chemicals used must comply with relevant Australian standards and safety regulations. Contractors must provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any sprays or powders used across FRV sites.
- Experience and PersonnelThe contractor must have the ability and personnel necessary to provide the full range of pest services and must be fully trained and experienced in pest control, removal, and extermination.
- Quarterly pest control services at most FRV sites
- Monthly pest control services at Training Academy and regional sites
- Bait station inspection, refresh, and replacement on a quarterly basis
- Quarterly spider fumigation at Training Academy and on request at other sites
- Annual preventative maintenance pest control plan for rabbit baiting at Training Academy
- Provision of site location maps with bait station placements within 4 months of contract execution and annual updates
- Provision of pest control audit reports and database on a district basis annually
- Reactive pest response callouts including rodents, insects, wildlife removal, emergency pest response, and waste/pest debris removal
- Rubbish removal including redundant baits and rodents as required
- Sealing of entry points and use of possum boxes where appropriate
- Provision of pest control services for specific leased sites not included in base building activities
Assessment of the tendered fixed fees for pest control services over the contract term including options.
Demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive pest control services including licensed wildlife removal and ability to meet service requirements.
Compliance with Australian safety standards, environmental regulations, and provision of MSDS for chemicals used.
Ability to provide timely and accurate pest control reports, site maps, and communication with FRV site contacts.
