Funding for Social Partner Participation on Safe Work Australia
The Funding for Social Partner Participation on Safe Work Australia grant program will run over 5 years from 2026–27 to 2030–31. This grant program is round 2 of the previous Funding for Social Partner Participation on Safe Work Australia administered in 2023 which promoted tripartism and social dialogue. The second round will commit $5.625 million GST exclusive over the life of the grant to continue opportunities for tripartism and social dialogue to provide support for employer representatives and unions to improve safety, fairness, and productivity in workplaces. The objective of the program is to support employer representatives and unions to effectively fulfil their roles as Safe Work Australia (SWA) members. The intended outcomes of the program are to: strengthen tripartism and social dialogue in national work health and safety (WHS) and workers’ compensation policy development support full engagement in SWA tripartite policy development and decision-making processes enable social partners to work with their affiliates and members to undertake consensus building activities on work health and safety and workers’ compensation policy matters enable social partners to genuinely contribute ideas, input and experience from workers and business through broader and more in-depth outreach.
Legal advice service supporting the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to establish a Jewish community focussed legal advice service to support the Royal Commission. The legal advice service will provide legal advice and information to members of the public wishing to engage with the Royal Commission. The service will run for the duration of the Royal Commission and to be effective, the service must be independent from the Royal Commission, trauma-informed, culturally safe, accessible, and be delivered nationally. The objectives of the grant are: · To provide a free legal advice and information service to assist individuals to understand their legal rights and options for engaging with the Royal Commission. · To provide referrals to counselling and other support services as needed to ensure a holistic, culturally appropriate, and cooperative approach to assisting people to engage with the Royal Commission.

Gateway Network Governance Body: Superannuation Transaction Network Management
The Gateway Network Governance Body (GNGB) is an industry owned, not-for-profit organisation, whose main purpose is to manage the integrity of the Superannuation Transaction Network (STN). As the STN underpins the superannuation system, the GNGB plays a key role in providing a governance framework for the STN and ensuring that the STN continues to assist employers and superannuation funds in meeting their obligations under the mandatory Data and Payment Standard from the SuperStream regulatory program. In Budget 2024-25, the Government provided an additional $2.7 million over for 4 years from 2024-25 (and $0.7 million per year ongoing as part of the Treasury Portfolio – additional resourcing measure) to increase the grant to $1.349 million per year (adjusted for indexation) to support the GNGB in continuing to manage the integrity of the STN. A new Grant Agreement will be entered into between the ATO (on behalf of the Commonwealth) and the GNGB.
ASIO Scheme
The Attorney-General's Department administers the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation scheme which provides legal financial assistance for a person summoned by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) to appear before a prescribed authority for questioning. Applications can be made to the department for grants to cover legal representation costs and related expenses. Applications must be made in accordance with the terms of any authorisation that permits disclosure of information for the purpose of making an application for financial assistance.

The Multilateral Placements Program (the Program) provides multilateral organisations with funding to place Australian professionals in roles across the multilateral system. It increases Australian representation in multilateral organisations and supports multilateral expertise in the Australian Government and broader Australian sectors that rely on multilateral engagement.
Afghanistan Inquiry Legal Assistance Scheme
The Afghanistan Inquiry Legal Assistance Scheme funds the reasonable costs of legal representation for current and former serving Australian Defence Force members who are the subject of, or participating in, criminal investigations and prosecutions relating to matters arising from the Afghanistan Inquiry. This includes advice for the purposes of participating in Australian Federal Police (AFP)/Office of Special investigator (OSI) investigations, defending charges and giving evidence in Court if criminal proceedings are brought in relation to those matters.
Australasian Legal Information Institute Sponsorship
The purpose of the grant is to provide sponsorship to the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII). AustLII provides a free, publicly accessible website containing Australian legal information. AustLII is considered the most comprehensive Australian legal database in terms of its collection of legal materials. The Australian Taxation Office’s (ATO) sponsorship of AustLII contributes to the achievement of Outcome 1 from the ATO Portfolio Budget Statement (PBS) via Program 1.1 Australian Taxation Office. As a major source of free tax-related material, AustLII supports ease of compliance for tax practitioners and taxpayers. The intended outcome of the grant is to support AustLII in continuing to make its legal database freely available to the general public. Specifically, the Taxation Law Library assists in educating the community on their tax obligations, which supports the ATO in administering the tax law and aligns with Outcome 1 in the ATO’s PBS.
Partnership Projects 2026
Partnership Projects will support collaborations, within the Australian context, that translate research evidence into health policy and health practice, to improve health services and processes. The objectives of the Partnership Project scheme are to: • Meet the need for more effective integration of research evidence into health policy and service delivery • Create partnerships among policy makers, managers, service providers and researchers • Provide support to answer often complex and difficult questions that policy makers, managers and service providers face when making decisions and implementing policies that affect Australians’ health and health care • Be highly responsive to the priorities of government, the community and health professionals • Enable applicants to apply for funding at any time during the year to allow researchers and Partner Organisations to develop timely collaborations.

The purpose of the grant is to provide funding to the United Nations and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations to support peacebuilding and peacekeeping activities outside Australia. The objective of the grant is to provide funding to be used by the UN and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations to support: • education, training and capacity building activities for civil or military personnel on peace related activities; • the provision of equipment or services to support foreign countries’ participation in peace operations; • research and policy development on peace related issues; • the engagement of civil or military personnel in peace operations and institutions; and • improvement of infrastructure used in peace operations.
Journalism Assistance Fund
The Journalism Assistance Fund Program, running over 3 years from 2025-26, was announced as part of the News Media Assistance Program (News MAP). News MAP aims to support public interest journalism and media diversity in Australia - recognising these are critical to a healthy democracy, social cohesion and informed citizens. Organisations producing core news content will be eligible for funding. The funding will provide a proportion of the wages for journalists producing core news content that is distributed digitally. Provision of Senior Director Services for the Food Regulation System Office
The Senior Director will provide strategic oversight, leadership, and coordination for the Food Regulation System Office, ensuring delivery of key objectives and performance indicators in the Food Regulation System Workplan endorsed by the Food Regulation Standing Committee (FRSC). The role includes stewardship of the virtual System Office, oversight of geographically dispersed staff, strategic advice to FRSC and the Implementation Subcommittee for Food Regulation, chairing ISFR meetings, representing the Office at agreed forums, and driving collaboration across Australian, state, territory, and New Zealand jurisdictions.
