Southeast Asia Investment Deal Teams Project Development Support Grants
The grant program will support targeted activities that accelerate the development of Australian-led investment-ready projects in Southeast Asia. It will help remove barriers and transaction costs for Australian investors, building the capability and confidence of investors and companies to invest in Southeast Asia.
REEF: Tourism Operator Support Grants
The REEF: Tourism Operator Support Grants program is offering $480,000 to eligible tourism businesses operating on the Great Barrier Reef. The grants will help them get ready for a $6 million ‘Kids for the Reef’ school excursion rebate program coming later this year. Both programs are part of the Australian Government’s $10 million Reef Educational Experience Fund (REEF). The $10 million fund will also: deliver $520,000 through the Association of Marine Park Tourism Operators to train tourism operators in working with school groups back a $3 million international marketing and education campaign. Program objective The objective of program is to cover up to 50% of the cost of necessary upgrades, checks or clearances for local reef tourism operators to accommodate school groups. Program outcomes The intended outcomes of the REEF: Tourism Operator Support Grants program are to: increase student visitor numbers to the Great Barrier Reef increase capability and capacity for operators to support and engage with student groups improve school groups’ satisfaction levels increase direct links between the Australian Curriculum and reef tourism operator activities and make it easy for teachers to identify suitable tours and experiences increase the number of Australian Curriculum linked activities offered by operators. Grant amounts Up to $480,000 is available over the 2025–26 and 2026–27 financial years. Applicants may apply for individual grants of between $1,000 and $15,000 (ex GST). The applicant must match the amount of grant funding requested (e.g. for a grant request of $2,000 the applicant must also contribute $2,000 giving a total project value of $4,000). The total value of each individual grant offered to an applicant will be determined by the total number of eligible applicants that are approved for funding and the total amount of funding each applicant applies for.
Cancer Genomics Clinical Trials Fund: SCCT Program
The Cancer Genomics Clinical Trials Fund (the Fund) is a one-off grant opportunity that will run over three years, FY2025-26 through to FY2027-28. The Fund will direct additional investment to Australia's Multi-site Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Groups (CTGs) under the Support for Cancer Clinical Trials (SCCT) program to build capacity and develop approached of methods to set the foundation for, and accelerate the incorporation of genomics into the design of cancer clinical trial concepts and protocols to benefit all CTGs. Remote Jobs and Economic Development Program
The RJED Program seeks to fund 3,000 new jobs over 3 years to support job seekers currently participating in or that are eligible for Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES), to move into employment. There are two streams of funding available, Job Creation – to fund the cost of wages and related entitlements, and the Community Jobs and Business Fund (CJBF) – to provide funding for equipment, operational costs and infrastructure to directly support bringing jobs created under the Job Creation stream into existence. For the purposes of the RJED program, a new job is: •a job which does not already exist within an organisation and does not displace an existing employee, or •a job created in a RAES Community Project. As job allocations are based on NIAA regions, you will need submit a separate application for each NIAA region where you intend to deliver a job. For example: If you apply for jobs located in more than one RAES region, but all those jobs are in the same NIAA region, you will only need to submit one application for those jobs. If you apply for jobs located in more than one RAES region, and those jobs are in different NIAA regions, you will need to submit a separate application for the jobs in each NIAA region. Building the GP Workforce - Primary Care Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs)
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to allocate new commencing medical Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) and associated medical education and training activities which foster a positive primary care culture and influence the uptake of primary care among graduates to bolster the GP workforce, particularly in rural and underserved metropolitan areas. This grant opportunity will be implemented through two streams: Stream A and Stream B. Eligible applicants can apply for one or both streams. Streams A and B will have different application opening and closing dates. The government has announced its intention to ensure all First Nations students will receive a medical CSP when they are accepted into eligible medical schools from 2026. Implementation of this measure is subject to the passage of legislation and will be taken into account in implementation of Stream A and B of this grant opportunity. Safe Kids are eSmart Kids program
Under the Funding Boost for Online Safety Learning election commitment the government will provide $6 million over three years from 2026-27 to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation (AMF) for the continuation, enhancement and growth of free online safety, digital and media information literacy education tools for young Australians. The AMF eSmart program teaches young Australians to have safe, inclusive and positive online experiences, in a structured and age-appropriate way that aligns with the school curriculum and eSafety’s Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education. The funding will enable continued free access to these tools for all Australian schools and enable AMF to expand delivery into alternative settings where children and young people live, learn and play - including youth justice and early years environments, and community settings such as sporting clubs and interest-based groups, expanding access and improving the quality of free online safety and digital and media information literacy education tools. This will complement the introduction of the legislative frameworks such as the social media minimum age by educating young people to engage safely online. It will also contribute to intended outcomes of the National Media Literacy Strategy, announced in December 2024. Grant program objectives and outcomes The objectives and intended outcomes of the program are to: strengthen, expand and sustain free, curriculum aligned online safety, digital and media information literacy education for all Australian schools, and extend delivery across diverse learning and community settings support children and young people to build the knowledge and skills they need to navigate digital environments positively and safely equip educators, families and communities with the confidence and capability to champion children’s digital rights and actively support positive digital experiences.
Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) delivery of a Western Australia Freight Rail Feasibility Study
This grant opportunity will provide Australian Government grant funding of up to $2.5 million to support the Australian Rail Track Corporation Limited (ARTC) ABN 75 081 455 754 to work with the Western Australian (WA) Government to undertake due diligence and a feasibility study for bringing the WA freight rail network back into public ownership. The study will consider how WA’s freight rail network can be integrated with the ARTC’s interstate network, including the potential for the Commonwealth to take direct control of the east-west rail line from Kalgoorlie to Fremantle.

2026 NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program funding commencing 2027
The NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program supports Australian participation and collaboration in leading international research through the e-ASIA Joint Research Program (e-ASIA JRP). The e-ASIA JRP supports international joint research projects in the East Asia region. The e-ASIA JRP selects research projects through an open call for proposals. Fields of cooperation are decided among the e-ASIA participating member organisations and funding is for up to three years. MRFF – CTA Initiative – 2025 Clinical Trials Activity Grant Opportunity
The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Clinical Trials Activity Initiative aims to: improve the evidence base supporting clinical care help patients access trials relevant to their health circumstances enable researchers to bring international trials to Australian patients. The objective of this grant opportunity is to provide grants of financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation projects that: Stream 1 (Incubator): conduct a pilot study to assess the feasibility of a new clinical trial for one or more treatments and/or management strategies for a rare cancer, rare disease and/or unmet need. Stream 2 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct a clinical trial of one or more treatments and/or management-based interventions for rare cancers, rare diseases and/or unmet need. Stream 3 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct a clinical trial that supports the delivery of effective and high value care by targeting evidence gaps of value to health technology assessment processes in Australia. Stream 4 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct a prevention clinical trial aimed at reducing the risk, onset or progression of disease through early intervention strategies. The intended outcome of the research is to improve the health and wellbeing of Australians by investing in new clinical trials that support increased access to high-quality, evidence-based and effective health care. Applicants to this grant opportunity must propose research that addresses one of the four Streams of research. The Australian Government is inviting WorldSkills Australia via a restricted process to apply to deliver services under program 2.1. Building Skills and Capability and Sub Program 2.1.3. Support for the National Training System from 2026 to 2029. The objectives of the program are to: support skills competitions at the regional, national and international level to raise the profile of skills and vocational education and training (VET) in Australia support regional competitions to feed into national competitions and support eligible successful participants to represent Australia at the biennial international competition allow Australia to benchmark skills at regional, national and international levels. The intended outcomes of the program are to: promote and build a skills culture by celebrating skills excellence promote participation in skills and VET as a valued career pathway inspire young people and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their trade skills and talents.
LGBTIQA+ Safe Spaces: LGBTIQA+ inclusive primary care workforce training and accreditation
The grant opportunity aims to deliver health workforce training to ensure inclusive, culturally safe healthcare for LGBTIQA+ people in Australia, and a network of accredited primary care providers. The anticipated approach for LGBTIQA+ affirming care needs to be suitable for a broad range of population intersectional sub-groups. Applications from consortia are strongly encouraged, providing there is a lead organisation that is solely accountable to the Commonwealth (see section 7.2 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines). The objectives of the grant opportunity are: • to improve cultural safety in primary care settings for LGBTIQA+ individuals through workforce training that is evidence-based and patient-centred, guided by evidence-based best practice and the Action Plan. • to reduce financial barriers for primary care providers and organisations to develop skills and be formally recognised as competent in providing health care that is safe and appropriate for LGBTIQA+ clients. • for LGBTIQA+ people to be able to readily identify and access safe and inclusive mainstream primary care services. • to increase prevention and early intervention care episodes and improve overall health and wellbeing for LGBTIQA+ people. • to establish a financially sustainable plan for ongoing provision of the program beyond the cessation of this grant opportunity. Porn Literacy Campaign
The Australian Government is committed to creating a better, gender equal Australia for everyone. Working for Women: A Strategy for Gender Equality (the Strategy) outlines where the Government will focus its efforts over the next decade to achieve its vision: an Australia where people are safe, treated with respect, have choices and have access to resources and equal outcomes no matter their gender. A key mechanism supporting the Government’s implementation of the Strategy is the Working for Women Program (WfWP). The WfWP funds key partnerships and activities to improve outcomes for women and gender equality in Australia, with a specific focus on the five priority areas of the Strategy. This grant opportunity has been designed to support the key outcomes under priority area 1 of the Strategy (gender-based violence), and complement other Government initiatives including the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children, by: supporting young people to form a critical lens around pornography and in turn, other forms of media, including how pornography is produced, what messages it conveys, and how it may shape attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours related to sex, gender, relationships, and consent changing attitudes and behaviours around pornography including it's use as a guide, script or educational tool for sex and relationships increasing educator and parent confidence, making conversations around pornography easier and more effective to prevent sexual violence supporting young people to engage with pornography safely, without stigma and/or shame and to seek appropriate help when required.
MRFF - EPCDRI - 2025 Childhood Mental Health Research Grant Opportunity
The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Emerging Priorities and Consumer-Driven Research initiative aims to enable or support research that improves patient care and translation of new discoveries, and encourage collaboration between consumers and researchers. Funding from this Initiative will support the development of new diagnoses, treatments and cures, and the translation of new discoveries into clinical practice. Three topics of funding are available based on the primary focus of the research or the geographic location of the organisation undertaking the majority of the research. The objective of this grant opportunity is to: Topic A (Aim 2 of Research Plan; TCR): improving the mental health of First Nations children through research led by First Nations researchers that includes meaningful involvement of First Nations communities. Topic B (Aim 2 of Research Plan; TCR): the organisation undertaking the majority of the research is based in any area according to the Modified Monash Model locator (MM1–7). Topic C (Aim 2 of Research Plan; TCR): the organisation undertaking the majority of the research, the Chief Investigator A and 50% or more of all Chief Investigators, and all research participants are primarily based in a regional, rural or remote area according to the Modified Monash Model locator (MM2–7). Applicants to this grant opportunity must propose research that addresses one of the three Topics of research. An application may only be submitted to one of the above three Topics. Applicants must specify the Topic to which they are applying in their application. Accelerating MND Research through the Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network
The Program is managed under Outcome 1: Health Policy, Access and Support, Program 1.1: Health Research, Coordination and Access of the Portfolio Budget Statements. The Health Research, Coordination and Access Program aims to better equip Australia to meet current and future health needs of all Australians through the delivery of evidence-based health policies; improved access to comprehensive and coordinated health care; ensuring sustainable funding for health services, research and technologies; and protecting the health and safety of the Australian community. The Accelerating Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Research through the Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network grant opportunity aims to establish the Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network (the Network) through an investment of $40.1 million over four years (from 2025-26). The Network will accelerate the development and delivery of effective treatments, expand clinical trials, transform outcomes for patients with MND – and ultimately a cure for MND, a devasting neurodegenerative disease with no cure and an average life expectance of 27 months post diagnosis. Families and Communities Service Improvement - SMFA
The Australian Government is inviting Single Mother Families Australia Inc. (SMFA) via a one-off ad hoc process to apply to deliver services under Program 2.1 Families and Communities – Families and Communities Service Improvement (FCSI) Activity – Component 2.1.4 (Sector Representation) for 7 months from 1 July 2027 to 31 January 2028. The objectives of the grant are: to build capacity within the community sector by funding eligible peak bodies and representative organisations to inform the Australian Government’s social policy support and encourage the continuous improvement of Government funded services.
Supporting Frontline Violence Response Training
The purpose of this grant is to fund National Disability Services (NDS) to enable frontline disability workers to attend in person training that builds their confidence to identify and respond to violence and coercive control. The grant aims to: improve the safety and wellbeing of people with disability strengthen the ability of disability workers to recognise and respond to harm, and support consistent, community based responses aligned with the Safety, Rights and Justice Targeted Action Plan. As a result of this grant: disability workers will access local, in person training workers will feel more confident identifying and responding to violence and coercive control, and people with disability will be better connected to appropriate local support services. Human Rights Advocacy Grant Program
This human rights advocacy grant program will support a diverse range of human rights focused organisations to advance Australia’s human rights priorities multilaterally and in our region – including activities in support of Australia’s multilateral human rights priorities. This grant program will be restricted to domestic and international civil society and/or non-government organisations, research organisations, multilateral organisations and partner governments that are undertaking a range of advocacy activities which promote and protect human rights in the multilateral arena or the Indo-Pacific region. The non-competitive grant program will target globally recognised and trusted partner organisations that can deliver on Australia’s contribution to key multilateral human rights commitments in an agile and efficient manner. These activities can include training and capacity building; thematic, legislative, policy and expert advice; awareness raising; and research, advocacy and reporting on a range of human rights matters. These advocacy grants can also go to Universal Periodic Review technical assistance and capacity-building, or to partners in the Indo-Pacific region to increase their engagement in the multilateral system.
Future Made in Australia Innovation Fund
The Future Made in Australia (FMA) Innovation Fund (the Program) administered by ARENA will provide up to $1.5 billion in grant funding to support pre-commercial innovation, demonstration and deployment of renewable energy and low emission technologies (Technologies), to support Australia’s transition to a net zero economy. FMA is an ongoing program which will remain open until funding is exhausted or ARENA closes the Program. Successful projects are expected to achieve one or more of the following Program Outcomes: increase uptake of the Technologies through innovation and commercialisation activities. improve Australia’s capability and capacity to produce or manufacture the Technologies. support and/or contribute to stronger supply chains to enable increased use of the Technologies. improve knowledge, skills and/or workforce participation associated with the Technologies. ARENA undertook targeted consultation through March and April 2025 with market participants, key consultancies and industry bodies and associations, to understand and identify industries and areas most suited for funding within the priority areas. The FMA Innovation Fund launched in December 2025 and will be an ongoing, open program. Grant funding will be available across three Priorities (the Priorities): $750 million to Green Metals including iron, steel, alumina and aluminium. Initial tranche of $200 million to Renewable Energy Technology Manufacturing (RETM) to enable development of technologies seeking to alleviate critical supply chain challenges facing the clean energy transition. $250 million to Low Carbon Liquid Fuels (LCLF) including sustainable aviation fuels and renewable diesel. The Defence Industry Development Grants Program (the program) will award grants over four years from 2024-25 to 2027-28. The program was announced as part of the Defence Industry Development Strategy. The objective of the program is to build the industrial base Australia needs to achieve Defence outcomes in areas of strategic priority. The Defence Industry Development Grants Program funds four distinct grant opportunity streams tailored to address the program outcomes: Sovereign Industrial Priorities Skilling Exports Security.
