Overview

The Australian Government is inviting WorldSkills Australia via a restricted process to apply to deliver services under program 2.1. Building Skills and Capability and Sub Program 2.1.3. Support for the National Training System from 2026 to 2029. The objectives of the program are to: support skills competitions at the regional, national and international level to raise the profile of skills and vocational education and training (VET) in Australia support regional competitions to feed into national competitions and support eligible successful participants to represent Australia at the biennial international competition allow Australia to benchmark skills at regional, national and international levels. The intended outcomes of the program are to: promote and build a skills culture by celebrating skills excellence promote participation in skills and VET as a valued career pathway inspire young people and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their trade skills and talents.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Eligible Organisation
    To be eligible to receive a grant, you must be WorldSkills Australia (ABN: 43 147 075 714) and have received an invitation to apply through GrantConnect.
  • Ineligible Organisations
    You are not eligible if you have not received an invitation to apply through GrantConnect and your organisation is not WorldSkills Australia (ABN: 43 147 075 714).
  • Required Checks
    Relevant personnel must maintain Working with Vulnerable People registration, Working with Children check, and police clearance.
