Families and Communities Service Improvement - SMFA
Overview
The Australian Government is inviting Single Mother Families Australia Inc. (SMFA) via a one-off ad hoc process to apply to deliver services under Program 2.1 Families and Communities – Families and Communities Service Improvement (FCSI) Activity – Component 2.1.4 (Sector Representation) for 7 months from 1 July 2027 to 31 January 2028. The objectives of the grant are: to build capacity within the community sector by funding eligible peak bodies and representative organisations to inform the Australian Government’s social policy support and encourage the continuous improvement of Government funded services.

- Invited OrganisationTo be eligible to receive a grant you must be the invited organisation listed below and have received an invitation to apply for this grant opportunity.
- Child Safe EligibilityApplicants must comply with all relevant state, territory, and Commonwealth law relating to employment or engagement of Child-Related Personnel and apply the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
- WGEA ComplianceYou are not eligible if listed as non-compliant with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 unless compliance is attained.

Demonstrate understanding of the need for the FCSI program and how planned activities will address this need.
Demonstrate ability to deliver core activities such as feedback on social policy, engagement facilitation, and communication of policies.
