The purpose of the ACCO Grant Round is to provide capital grants to high-quality not-for-profit ACCOs to undertake construction for the delivery of new or expanded Centre-Based Day Care (CBDC) services. Organisations will be invited to apply based on consultation with First Nations partners and peak bodies.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Invitation to Apply
    To be eligible to apply you must have received an invitation to apply from the department.
  • ABN and GST Registration
    Applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST.
  • Financial Institution Account
    Applicants must have an account with an Australian financial institution.
  • Community-Controlled Organisation
    Applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled Organisation.
  • Provider Approval
    Applicants must either currently hold, or commit to obtaining, provider approval under National Law and under Family Assistance Law.

  • Capital works to establish or expand ECEC services.

Experience with Service Provision25%%

Describe your organisation’s experience with past quality service provision to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Community Need25%%

Describe the need in your proposed community to improve engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in ECEC.

Capital Works Proposal25%%

Describe your proposal for capital works, including management of finances, resources, and approvals.

Grant Agreement Requirements25%%

Outline your organisation’s ability to meet the grant agreement requirements, particularly cost-effective delivery and completion timelines.

Conditions & Exclusions
  • Applicants must not be Commonwealth, state, territory agencies or bodies, individuals, unincorporated associations, or overseas residents/organisations.
  • Applicants must not be on the National Redress Scheme’s list of non-compliant institutions.
  • Applicants must not have received funding from another capital funding stream of the Building Fund.
