Supporting Frontline Violence Response Training
Overview
The purpose of this grant is to fund National Disability Services (NDS) to enable frontline disability workers to attend in person training that builds their confidence to identify and respond to violence and coercive control. The grant aims to: improve the safety and wellbeing of people with disability strengthen the ability of disability workers to recognise and respond to harm, and support consistent, community based responses aligned with the Safety, Rights and Justice Targeted Action Plan. As a result of this grant: disability workers will access local, in person training workers will feel more confident identifying and responding to violence and coercive control, and people with disability will be better connected to appropriate local support services.
