Porepunkah - Nicholson Street - SPS - Remediation
Overview
North East Water previously engaged Remedy Asset Protection in 2025 to complete a condition assessment and recommendation for remediation for the Porepunkah (Nicholson St) SPS. The key outcome of the study was a recommendation that concrete degradation in the wet well be remediated. This project requires: • 100% detailed design of the concrete remediation including anchorages • Removal of other infrastructure and fittings from the wet well • Concrete remediation to provide 30-year minimum design life • Reinstatement of infrastructure including fittings and anchorages into the wet well The project excludes: • Remediation of any exposed reinforcing, as none was identified. • Bypass of the existing wet well • Upgrade to any mechanical, electrical, or structural components (however include anchoring structural components.)
