Werribee Park Major Event Call for Dates 2028 - 2030 Parks Victoria is inviting expressions of interest from major event organisers with the creative vision and capacity to be part of the Werribee Park calendar of major events for 2028-2030. Werribee Park is the premier venue for major events in Melbourne’s west, offering a rare and iconic setting surrounded by heritage architecture, expansive gardens, and a vibrant tourism precinct. With increasing demand for high-quality major events in this unique environment, this is a prime opportunity to secure preferred dates at one of Victoria’s most sought-after outdoor venues. This Call for Dates process is for major public or private events, which are categorised by the capacity of the event. Major events could include but are not limited to: Concerts, theatre productions and music festivals Cultural celebrations and community festivals Lightscapes and art exhibitions Outdoor cinemas Markets, local business fairs, trade shows Sporting events, orienteering and competitions Applications closing Wednesday 6 May at 4pm

Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicant Type
    Applicants must be major event organisers with the creative vision and capacity to deliver major events at Werribee Park precinct.
  • Event Type
    Events must be major public or private events, including but not limited to concerts, theatre productions, music festivals, cultural celebrations, community festivals, lightscapes, art exhibitions, outdoor cinemas, markets, trade shows, sporting events, or competitions.
  • Insurance
    Applicants must provide a Permittee’s Certificate of Currency showing valid public liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $20 million, noting Parks Victoria as an interested party.
Deliverables
  • Secure preferred event dates at Werribee Park precinct for July 2027 to June 2030
  • Conduct major public or private events in accordance with permit conditions
  • Provide detailed event plans including site maps, participant numbers, infrastructure needs
  • Demonstrate environmental sustainability and protection of heritage and wildlife
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusion aligned with Whole of Victorian Government Universal Design Policy
  • Engage with local community, stakeholders, and Werribee Park tenants and licensed tour operators

Business Management & Event Promotion25%%

Experience and credentials in managing similar events, marketing and promotion strategy, and measures to minimize impact on stakeholders and manage concurrent events.

Environment & Inclusion25%%

Demonstration and promotion of environmental sustainability, protection of Mansion, grounds and wildlife, and catering for visitors of all abilities in line with universal design policy.

Conditions & Exclusions
  • Event permit issued under Crown Land (Reserves) (Metropolitan and Regional Parks) Regulations 2023 Regulation 48(3)
  • Permit not effective until signed and all conditions met
  • Parks Victoria reserves right to withdraw event if conditions not met
  • Applicants must conduct own site inspections prior to submission
  • Late submissions will not be accepted
  • Applicants must not contact Parks Victoria staff other than EOI Manager during process
  • Applicants must disclose any conflicts of interest
  • Responses must remain valid for minimum 120 days from closing date
  • Parks Victoria reserves rights to reject any or all responses, modify process, or terminate EOI at any time
